  Rubbish!  You've actually chosen the *better* route. Your applications
  will gain in reliability since you will be debugging them using a
  proper protect-mode memory management system; you won't be encumbered
  with all of that silly  and  baggage that is the curse
  of DOS programmers upgrading to OS/2; and you won't have to unlearn
  *anything* once you switch to writing graphical programs (not even
  printf or cout, which still work just fine in PM applications, even if
  you never see the output normally).
