This effect is not reproducable with anyone version of PowerBASIC v3.50,
fortunately ... .
Are you sure, there aren't country specific characters, unix like CR/LF or
lines with more than 255 bytes in the source file? Specially unix like
formatted BAS-files (for example some from PB's Web-Server or from another
site) are a great problem for PowerBASIC' DOS-IDE in all 3.x versions.
For example, load a unix-formatted PowerBASIC source (20-30k) in the
IDE, save it und you will see the source is a little bit destroyed, but
not lost. ;)
