  Take it from someone that has visited bars all over the world, yes I
really think so. The closest you can come to a US bar is probably a London
pub, but however wonderful a London pub can be, it almost never can match a
US bar -- in any part of the US. At least that's my experience, YMMV.

   Oh yes, we have spectacular sceneries here in Scandinavia as well, but I
still think they can not compare to the most spectacular ones in the US.

   Neither do they me. But that does not prevent me from enjoying visiting
them, feeling them, trying to inhale the atmosphere with an open mind.
That's the only way to go if you visit another culture.

   Well, you're of course welcome any day. But we have so little to offer
compared to the US, I think you'll eventually will be disappointed  after
having spent 24 hours on planes to get here. No, David, I'd rather
recommend you the eight hour flight to California (aka do a Mel Gibson, an
Olivia Newton-John or a Nicole Kidman) if ever you want to widen your views
as a citizen of planet Earth.
