subject: Nodes or member of the FIDONET

Hi Vladimir,

VD> Policy (4.07) use both expression "node" and "system"...

If it helps, think of it like this -

  1. Fidonet is defined by the Nodelist, each NODE entry in the Nodelist is
a System, so 1 Node = 1 System,
  2. A System may consist of several Nodes, PROVIDED they have a common Sysop.
To make things worse, it is possible to have a "System", that has
multiple Nodes with Multiple listed Sysops for each Node, and that is
actually Multiple Systems...

Policy only ever places a requirement on a NODE (and therefore on that
Nodelisted Sysop), so it is probably a good idea to read "Node"
and "System" as meaning the same thing.

And your second case does not exist within Fidonet because the minimum
requirement in Policy for Fidonet is for a "leaf" node, IE a Node
at the END of a chain. A Non-leaf node MAY also exist (and usually does for
HUBS and *C's).

ZMH applies to each listed Node and there is no second case.

I hope this helps...........pk.
