 I've successfully used Zmodem in Works ... Works is probably
 reinitializing the modem in a way differring from your good and
 proper setup.

 Steve, if your modem works properly with other software, I don't
 feel at all that it needs to be different.  Telemate has several
 things which could be
  1. reinitializing in an improper not using your flash
  2. not using the proper setup
 I use the DOS version; I tried the Windows version, found it to
 work, but just don't like Windows for communication and went back
 to my registered DOS version.
