I've been spending the last few weeks TRYING to get X working, using Debian,
Red Hat, Caldera, and Slackware, so I've gotten very familiar with what's
available on the CDs setup-wise. My CPU is flaky, so that seems to be PART
of the problem that I'm having. Anyway, I'm finding that I'm have to edit
XF86Config manually and use xvidtune to adjust each mode individually (can't
see the screen too well when its whizzing by!), because the automatic stuff
doesn't seem to set it up right. I'm not sure if that's because of the flaky
CPU or what.
