I have been thinking about writing a new version of TradeWars myself,
mainly because there are some deficiencies in the program, and I have a
lot of ideas for features I'd like to see added to it.

Source code.  Cool.  If I had the source code for the "core" of the
program, it would give me a big incentive to add a lot of improvements
to it.  Do you comment your source code heavily?  :-)
