LJ> Sell it to George. You're preaching to the choir here.
But I can't - I don't have home Internet access, and that means no e-mail.
You could act as my middleman!
LJ> Doesn't sound familiar - which album was it on?
I found out that it's "Breathe," and it's on the most recent CD, "Fat of
the Land." If you think you've seen the video, it's the one with Keith (the
man with the pointed hair) and what's-his-name who always seems to be wearing
a kilt, in a dilapidated building. Check out MuchAmerica (MuchMusic for
Americans - more intelligent than MTV), they'll probably have it.
JF> Maybe, but don't forget that you're getting the input of a
JF> late-teens Duke Nukem 3D fan! :-)
LJ> True, but remember - Duke is in his 30s.
Really? I always thought of him as being in his late 20s. My main point
with selecting the music I have is because, don't forget, Duke is living in
the year 3007 (according to the calendar sprite), so the music would probably
be very high-tech. I doubt there'd be a retro-heavy-metal trend going on.
:-)
JF> What's the "surprise?" It wouldn't be fair to all the
JF> non-E3-attendees to be left out.
LJ> I still don't know if I have clearance to talk about it yet.
Check it out. I'd love to find out what it is, seeing as how (hopefully)
I'll be ordering Shadow Warrior this very day. $64 Canadian (after shipping
and duty) ought to get that secret!
JF> future 3D Realms employees could get a sample of what your place is
JF> like?
LJ> Again, sell it to George.
It couldn't hurt - after all, it's not like 3D Realms is exactly
cash-strapped right now (unless you blew your budget on all those Shadow
Warrior 3-page spreads and Dodge Vipers).
By the way, why DID you people pick Vipers (as CGW says you did)? I
imagine you guys might consider Need for Speed II as a catalog now ("hmm,
that McLaren F1 looks nice!"). I just wish I could!
