Fellow Squonkers,
Squonk Opera is on the move. Check out the following concert dates and if
you have the opportunity, be sure to check out their show -- you will never
see anything quite like them!
As a side note, the Squonk Monsters will be descending upon Wilmington, NC
in October -- I'd better see a lot of you at that show :)

>I've seen the beast moving furtively across the plains, a shadowy,
unstoppable force, flowing with the contours of the land, moving from towne
to
towne with almost no caveat. A creature at once grand and incontrovertible,
and yet sublime, indescribable, fleeting, a dream's dream.

>Yet I know where the strange and ever transforming monstrosity that is
Squonk
Opera will appear next. How do I know? Have I conferred with the mystics?
Better! I checked the agenda on http://www.squonkopera.com

>You can catch a hearty glimpse of Squonk Opera this weekend as they take
their tremendously unplain BigSmorgasBordWunderWork to the Plain States,
starting with the Midwest Arts Conference in Milwaukee on September 19. The
following day they take the stage at Michigan Technology University for a
masterclass and performance. A mere 24 hours later they will descend upon the
Tibitz Opera House in Coldwater, MI. Then it's off to Maryland for shows on
the 24th and 25th at Frostburg State University.
>
>Among other alarming developments, Squonk Opera has sprouted a new head,
adding the stick bass and cello of David Bashwiner. A transmogrification
you'll surely need to see with your own eyes. So be advised, Squonk Opera has
taken flight.

Hello everyone,
I am currently trying to secure an on-air time slot
on WRUV FM 90.1 (University of Vermont, USA, college radio)
to DJ a progressive-psychedelic-experimental show.
The mission for my show will be:
1. Creating exposure for new prog/psych/experimental bands & projects
& labels (independent labels only!)
2. Playing "Classics"
I am interested in hearing from bands that would like to get
on-air exposure. Please contact me at
meistro@vbimail.champlain.edu
Thank you,
Sean "Meistro" McAusland
