| subject: | HOON! rides again |
BV> I'll let you know when I get a chance to loose it with a suitable BV> run-off area. BL> It won't be long... the way you go around corners in the wet! I dunno. I took mum in to see Belinda and Patricia tonight and gave it a bit of stick coming home along Heathcote Road. Travelling from Liverpool to Heathcote and I gave it a poke going down the hill into the tight bend at Deadmans Creek. 170kph going in and 175kph going out. The ride up the hill was interesting, especially at the Church Point turn off where there is that bump in the road which only lifts the passenger side up. I backed off for the long sweeping left hander at the top as I am really not comfortable enough with the steering to try to push it into such a long sweeper at breakneck speeds. I ran it out to 160kph again on the dual lane section and it was only doing 2800 RPM. Fuck me, the tacho runs out to 5500 before it red-lines. BL> I hope they can panel-beat out the dents where I was hitting the BL> brakes on the passenger side. I punched it going down the hill into the winding section which leads to the bridge over the Woronora River and was doing 140kph and the first left hander. It had a bit more body roll that I would have liked, but it wasn't going anywhere except where I pointed it. Tickled it a bit more going into the first right hander and was probably doing about 150kph at the apex. Next thing I know, I'm barrelling down on some fuckwit doing the 70kph speed limit. Bloody good thing it pulls up quick. If I hadn't run into him until the bridge, I would have skirted around him whilst going over the bridge. I love doing that. The other guy FREAKS ! In reality you have a perfect line of vision all the way up the hill on the other side and it's a two lane bridge anyway. So long as there isn't another car coming the other way, there's plenty of room :) Regards, Brenton @EOT: ---* Origin: TestPoint (3:711/934.7) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
