RF>Do you breed quakers? i have one pair that is just about 2 years old
RF>that i hope will start breeding soon.
Yes, I do. I have a colony of eight in an outdoor 4X6X8 ft flight. Four
pairs. Three pair producing. Also a young pair, about two I think that
is offspring from two of those pairs, outdoors in a single cage. They
have laid but not yet fertile.
I have three in the house as pets, Bozo, who is about seven or eight. I
still have his old dad out in the flight. Mugwort is his new buddy and
she is about a year and a half. His mate died about a year ago. And
Quebee who is now about two. She is a real talker too. Actually all
three of them are.
My quakers breed from about April to about October. I am probably
winding up breeding season with them now or soon.
