How QRP are we talking, 5 watts?
Somewhere on one of the AM pages on the net (think it's
www.thebizlnk.com/am.htm) there's a "Cakepan Transmitter" - a single 6AQ5,
modulated by a pair. takes one whole watt of 8ohm audio to drive the audio
portion of it. A crystal is needed for operation.
There are 4 tubes in the whole rig - all 6AQ5's (as I recall) one as a
buffer, the other three as the final/modulator.
You could probably go to http://www.hotbot.com and search for "Cakepan
Transmitter" (no quotes) and remember to click on "the exact phrase".

-Jeff
