All of the performances were professionally recorded, and the sound on
the CDs is very good. There is over 140 minutes of music included, so
it is a very good value for the money, even if you only enjoy some of
the music.
In summary, this is not simply a momento for those fortunate enough to
have been at ProgDay '95; it is an excellent addition to almost an prog
fan's library.
Here is Peter's note announcing the CD:
> The ProgDay '95 double CD set should be ready for shipping October 1 (give
> or take a couple of days). The pressing is strictly limited to 1,000
copies
> and will very likely never be repressed.
>
> This CD contains fifty minutes of echolyn's final performance (and a
> *smokin'* performance at that!), nearly 50 minutes of Discipline
(containing
> several songs that will not be on their forthcoming CD), 25 minutes of
> Timothy Pure (one of the best American neo-prog bands), 10 minutes of Ozone
> Quartet (performing at the time as Cloud Nine), and 7 minutes of Bon
> Lozaga's bizarre sonic soundscapes. Mixed down from the original 24-track
> ADAT's, the sound quality is simply amazing -- when you listen to this CD
> you'll have to keep reminding yourself that there were no 'studio
tinkering'
> or overdubs (except one song which had a small gaffe edited out*).
