No reason to feel stupid, we had to learn from someone! They should be
alright, she's a young hen IF she lays an egg OR if you want to try and have
some babies. Then you could offer them a nest box to encourage laying
behaviour. Make sure they have cuddlebone and mineral blocks just in case she
starts laying eggs.
We had a pair of mature keets together for several years and with no nest
box, She never laid on egg. He unfortunately caught a cold and died, but she
is still happily watching the tiel babies grow up.
