Though the majority of my quilting is done by machine... I have just finished
hand quilting at scrappy mini-9-patch of 1930 reproduction fabrics... it was
definitly a challenge. I am also working on a wall hanging that I started
just before I moved to my new home... it is taking so much longer than I had
hoped only because of getting things settled. ... but I am not that far
from being done with it...
I do my blocks by machine routinely as I want that tight stitch and my hand
stitching is just not that good any longer.
I know i prefer to machine stitch my quilts as well as machine quilt them
for the speed in which I can complete a project... now that I have a pretty
good idea though of what I am doing, I am not working on improving my skills
at machine quilting... and I expect I will be spending a great deal of time
doing that in the months to come...
Right now I have a bunch of XMAS blocks for a sampler that I want to get
done before the holiday season begins so that will be my next quilting
project to complete...
Julia
