They hold the main one along the Atlantic seaboard every fall. It's been
held in different spots from New England to Alabama. The one year I
went, it was in Montreal (only Canadian one to date). There's usually at
least one smaller one on the west coast in the summer time. Plus there
was one in France organized by the Europeans with half a dozen Americans
in attendance. The three Australians all live in Adelaide and meet at
least weekly but that hardly counts. But on two occasions they have
hosted parties for the French guy and one of the Americans when they
visited.

The RIME Cuisine people do the same thing, generally meeting in one of
the southern states late in the fall. RIME of course is dead but 12 of
the hard core have a mail list of their own and stay in touch. The
FIDO Cooking mods have a mail list contingency plan and a list of email
addresses in case FIDO implodes some day.
