This should be written in the past tense, not the present.
Dr. Carl Sagan, scientist/cosmologist died awhile back of
bone-marrow cancer.
Perhaps David will post some kind of information on Sagan's
accomplishments, as their organizations were intertwined in
some fashion.
Carl Sagan will be remembered for his COSMOS series of
documentaries on NOVA about 10 years ago. He was a good
liaison between the public and high-tech science. He wrote
many articles in Scientific-American. He also authored the
story for the sci-fi film, CONTACT.
I write this at a few minutes before 1998 here on the U.S.
east coast. I suppose Jan. 1, 1998 is practically half over
in your neck of the woods.
