Hi, John;
JJ> ... Ivy has first dibs on it.
Did you get my M.O. yet? The Snail should be handing it to you any day
now... if it hasn't already done so.
JJ> I never thought of it as a
JJ> collector's Item. It is roughly 6" Tall (With "Feet" adjusted for
JJ> 'Optimal View' of the Dial) about 14" wide, and about 17" depth-wise.
AH! NOW I know how much desk space to reserve for it. :-}
JJ> The Finals Balance is INSIDE the Finals Heatsink, on the outside of
JJ> the radio. Tuning of EACH band's Preamp to the Finals is done with a
JJ> PLASTIC Tuning tool, (Long since lost or eaten by Gerbils or
JJ> Kids....not sure which one there).
Ok, I gotta find some diddlesticks. (What they were called in the TV
shops I used to work in). Or, depending on which one is needed, I MIGHT
be able to make one from a nylon rod.
JJ> I do NOT have the Matching Dentron
JJ> AUTO-KEYER. ( with three memory positions!! ) would have loved it, but
JJ> not for the Sixty Bucks the guy wanted for it.
'Twould have been nice, but I'll go with a straight key... IF I can find
one. :-}
JJ> The "Mic GAIN" also
JJ> adjusts TOTAL DRIVER OUTPUT, so Tuning can be done at LOW Level Power
JJ> (Say 10 w +/-) and then when "Best " is acheived, then do the SWR
JJ> Adjusts to the Antler (Antenna) and Then Go Back up to FULL OUTPUT.
Good idea! BTW, does that rig have SSB, or just AM or both? (I don't
know how well I would be received on the local 10M net using AM if
everyone else is on SSB). :-}
Catch you later... Please let me know when you ship it es which carrier.
(Please DON'T use UPS - I want it THIS year!) :-}
