1. You should ensure that smapi/fidoconfig have version of current branch/date also
2. You should install huskylib before smapi and link areastat against it also.
Change this string:
gcc areastat.o -s -L/usr/local/lib -lfidoconfig -lsmapi -o areastat
to
gcc areastat.o -s -L/usr/local/lib -lfidoconfig -lsmapi -lhusky -o areastat
