Some states have reciprocity for other states' permits, just like they
recognize drivers' licenses and marriage licenses (unless you're from Hawaii
and gay). :-) I know that it's relatively easy for someone to get a
temporary FL CCW permit if you hold a valid one from your home state.
Wyoming was also considering this but I never heard what happened up there.
There =is= a move afoot in Congress to pass a national law that says that any
state that issues a CCW shall also honor all other states' permits even
though the standards to get one vary from state-to-state.
