(I should have said serial port, although its not as nice as a real serial port with a UART) You might think that this is all very slow but there is some really nicely optimized code that makes it actually very fast. (115200 bps on the coco3) Either way the nice thing about this software is it only requires a serial cable and some software to be loaded any way you can. (ROM Pak, off of disk, via the cassette port and I think even through the serial itself might be possible) It makes it possible to do things with your coco that would normally require lots of additional hardware so thats why I was excited about it. Hopefully I will have time to do more with it in the future and possibly get a coco based BBS going. --- SBBSecho 2.12-Win32* Origin: :::The Holodeck BBS::: Telnet://holo.homeip.net (1:261/1381) SEEN-BY: 10/1 11/200 331 14/400 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 187 222/2 236/150 SEEN-BY: 249/303 250/1 306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 393/68 396/45 633/104 260 267 285 690/734 712/848 SEEN-BY: 800/432 801/161 189 2222/700 2320/100 105 109 200 5030/1256 @PATH: 261/1381 38 633/260 267 |
