EH>-> I hope I never get really bit, afraid I wouldn't survive
EH>If all you're getting is bruises they're being VERY gentle with you.
EH>Even small Amazons, (Mexican Red-heads, Lilac Crowns, Yellow Cheeks) can
EH>do some serious damage if they're really mad. When I got my Lilac Crown
EH>(Wild as a buck from the INS auction) he bit big chunks out of oil-field
EH>gloves! My Yellow Cheek could bite 110volt power cords off at the plug!
EH>(and DID!) While they were hot! I was shocked! Apparently he was NOT!
Hey, Tequila my Yellow Nape hen that is tame and still in the house
(Elton the male is too), gets off her cage and gets down on the floor
and finds Ed in the house and pins him in a corner then bites the tops
of his feet til he has holes in them. It is funny to see a grown man
screaming "Help me!" from one small green bird. And amazon bites are
nasty bites too. She got him in the hand the other day and must have hit
a small artery. I don't know why she hates him, he must remind her of
someone that abused her in the past. I can do anything in the world with
her and she is a mush with me.
