At Mail Call, Graham Drummond was heard saying to Derek Wakefield
GD> According to "Fighters Of The United States Air Force" (a
GD> comprehensive history), F-101Bs served with the ANG from 1970 to
GD> 1982. At the time of publication (1990) a few F-101Bs were
GD> *still* in service in the Canadian Air Force, being used for
GD> electronic warfare. I have not been able to find out when the
GD> last F-101Bs were phased out of the USAF, though.
As I briefly mentioned earlier, a buddy found a reference on the
internet (at one of the AF History sites) that stated the 101B was
phased out of US inventory in 83 - I suppose around the same time the
Canadian Interceptor variants.
Electronic Warfare...hmm, that sounds interesting. In what
capacity I wonder.
