AK> Thanks. I knew the police could check tire markings. I wasn't sure
AK> what could be done when it is raining. I remember my sister having an
AK> accident on a rain-slick road in Texas. I'm not sure if all the cars
AK> in the pile-up were moving. The officer told her that since he didn't
AK> witness the accident, he was going to give a ticket to everyone who had
AK> run into the car in front of him or her.
TR>
TR> I think that would be an automatic dismissal if they went to court and
TR> plead not guilty. You can't get a conviction on "something might have
TR> happened but the officer has no evidence or testimony the person is
TR> guilty of anything." What would the judge do, flip a coin?
Like I said, I'm not sure if they were moving or not. They were probably all
moving. In which case they would all be guilty. My sister is a teacher, and
most of the other drivers involved in the accident were high school students.
