Good stuff!

His first and last solo albums are great, but I'm not too sure about the
ones in the middle. Try his new one, Sunsets on Empire. It's extremely
popular among fans, and has even had a good reception from non-prog fans.
Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors was his first one, and that's good too.

My favourite Tull album is A Little Light Music. It's live and I usually
prefer the sound of live music to studio albums anyway, and it has a wide
variety of their songs so it's a good introduction to them. As for Rush,
I was very nearly put off them for life by Roll the Bones, which I don't
think is very good at all. However, I gave them another try and I'm not
sorry. I've got a copy of A Show of Hands (live) which I like to play in
the car, but I never really /listen/ to it like I do with Brave, for
example. Nice tunes, but I haven't really got into the lyrics yet.

I got The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway out of the library... it's ok, I
suppose... my enjoyment is not helped by the poor condition of the tape
though :-(
SVI> _Selling England By The Pound_ is remarkable, (also features 'I Know
SVI> What I Like', covered by Fish on _Songs from the Mirror_).
I'll give that a try then, if I can find a copy in the library! I've
never heard Songs from the Mirror, btw, but it's generally considered to
be a bit of an embarassment by the fans...
SVI> Yes is even better. My first album was _Close To The Edge_ (and in
I've found a Very Best Of album, but I haven't had a chance to listen to
it yet - too busy listening to OK computer, which is excellent!

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind. I'm lucky in that I work in a library,
so I can usually find music before I buy it. There's some Yes, Genesis,
Hawkwind etc, but I suspect the more obscure ones will be hard to find.
SVI> Axe, Eugene) you'll probably like Tangerine Dream. They're (mostly)

Ok, I'll look out for them!
