Hi Don,
What *I* do for my sunny day cruiser is disconnect the battery -ve when
not in use for an extended period of time. (counted in days, summer or
winter). I always leave the battery in the car.
The batteries I use is a Delco Freedom II. The current battery in the car is
at least 6 years old. (Came out of my truck, daily driver, unknown years in
the truck previous to my purchase of it, and spent 2 winters in the truck,
it began showing signs of minus temperature slower cranking, and went into
my car at that point.) Still doing great in the car.
Alex.
