 RP>I have installed a Promise LS120 drive.
RP>It works fine when the machine is booted to dos but when I boot to OS/2
RP>Warp 4 it is not recognised and I cannot access it at all. It
RP>is connected as the primary slave. What else do I need to do ?
 RP>Can you help please ?
 LN> For Warp 4 install fixpack 6; for Warp 3 install fixpack 35. LS120
LN> support is very recent, less than two months old.
BL>In addition to Lynn's wise council, after the FP6 install, you should
BL>find three new lines at the end of your CFSys file:
 BL>BASEDEV=I2OSOSM.ADD
 BL>BASEDEV=I2OXPORT.SYS
 BL>Rem BASEDEV=IBMATAPI.FLT
 BL>~~~~
BL>Simply edit your CFSys file to delete the underlined, reboot and see if
 BL>that doesn't clear things up.
BL>NOTE: When I installed FP6, I did not yet have my LS-120 installed, so
BL>the three lines above are as they were for me. Having a 120 already
BL>installed on your system, you might very well find that last line
BL>without the part?? Please report back the result of your
BL>FP6 install, with regard to the presence/absence of the "Rem " in the
BL>last line. Thanks, and Good Modeming! /\oo/\
LN> There _might_ be a misunderstanding here. While I am not sure about
LN> the status of the rem, you do need that IBMATAPI line to run the
LN> LS-120. However, I do not believe that the first two lines have
LN> anything to do with the LS-120, if that is the implication. The first
No such implication was intended. I merely indicated that those three
lines all appeared as a 'side effect' of FP6 installation. Altho I
didn't have the foggiest what the first two were for (thanks for the
info on that), you will note that I never mentioned anything other than
the last one, which needs to be 'activated' after installation of the
LS-120. Thanks again for that extra poop. Now if only I understood IýO.
Since it comes right after HýO, perhaps... {^; Good Modeming! /\oo/\
