Once upon a time, Lewin Edwards spoke thus to Jesse Boxx:
JB> Speaking of Win 95, IBM's Aptiva range of computers aren't
JB> even giving the buyer a choice of OS/2!! They come
JB> preinstalled with Windows 95.
LE> PSP doesn't control other divisions of the company, unfortunately.
I don't think that's the reason. When speaking to IBM recently I
asked them about this seeming inconsistency and the guy simply
replied that there wasn't much of a demand for OS/2 preloads
anymore, especially since the launch of Windows 95.
Last week, I received an "Options by IBM" multimedia CD-ROM in
the mail (information on a heap of IBM products). It was a
Windows only executable. When I rang them up to ask for an OS/2
version to run on my system, they replied there was no such
version nor was one planned.
Seems crazy.
