BV> No it wasn't. I'm almost sure it was called Robotron or sumfin like that.

I recall the OS/2 version of WOW saying that WOW was "the original
arcade game". Actually, it's that where I got my opinion from, I
never saw it in the arcades.

BV> attach it for me ? My kids like that one and I have never seen a

PE> Can you let me know if the file I send you actually works? It is

BV> Nah, it worked fine. Thanks for that. Cripes, talk about stupid. Do

Hmmm, a bit strange. I don't know if you can do it, but try a
'load "frogger",8,1' and tell me if that works, as opposed to
'load "frogger",8'.

BV> you realise that I now have a 3.5" diskette which turns my $15,000
BV> computer into a machine which I could buy for $50 ? Am I dumb or what.

Yes, people are very stupid about this. Most people use a home
computer for two things: playing games and doing wordprocessing.
The C64 is quite adequate for the first task, and an XT is quite
adequate for the second task, and an Amiga 500 is quite adequate
for both. So you're looking at somewhere around the $100 mark for
computer requirements for your kids. Some people have more money
than brains, and other people are just plain stupid (the ones who's
virtual computer that they are about to buy just keeps getting more
and more great features, and cheaper and cheaper, for years and
years, when they could spend $100 and not go wrong). I was
encouraging a guy at work not to upgrade his XT (the hard disk went
and he was running off floppy), and his kids were complaining they
wanted a new system (they had exceeded the capability of it - ROFL!).
I asked him how many characters per second that they typed, in order
that they managed to fill up a 360k floppy so fast that changing
floppies was an issue. . And I asked him how many lines of
assembler code they had written that considered they had learnt
everything they could from that machine already. .

PE> BTW, I won't be paying $200 for an MSDOS version!
PE> I can play on the C64 if I want to - it's the Amiga that I really
PE> want it for. Like I say, I've even got an OS/2 version, but I'm
PE> not interested. BFN.

BV> ROFL...You are missing something Paul ( I think it could be your brain ).
BV> I have NO intention of writing a Wizard of War clone simply so that
BV> I can get $200 from you...ROFL...There are better ways to make a buck.

Sure, I just didn't want you writing the thing for MSDOS and then
saying "right Paul, you're my first customer, where's my $200?".
I would probably buy an MSDOS copy at normal retail price though.

BFN. Paul
