BL> How do you kill a VB buf, if you "DIM buf AS STRING * 32000"? BV> Here's a radical concept....Try the REDIM statement ! I thought of that, but it only works for arrays, not strings. It's one of the gaps in the VB language. It runs slower if you go *3200 rather than define the string buf = SPACE$(3200). Weird.
