unfortunately he popped up just as i was rushing around to get ready to
go away at a weeks notice (a pommy passport is really useful if you need
to go to the states at short notice)

i did that and was apalled at it's performance on a 16 meg dx2-66. it
doesn't seem so bad now but i dont know if that is due to an improvement
in it's performance, or a lowering of my expectations (:
