BROOKLYN, Mich. - Kevin Harvick's No. 21 Chevrolet was not the class of the
field today, but strategy and a rainstorm earned him his 11th career win
and third of the season. A thunderstorm erupted at lap 110 of the 125-lap
event, and despite efforts to dry the track, the rain kept coming and
NASCAR called the event.

"It's pretty cool," said Harvick. "We tried to play our
strategy out there
at the end, and Tony (Stewart) probably had the best car, but man we've
given a lot of these things away, having the best car and getting beat on
fuel mileage through the four or five years we've been running Busch
cars..its really cool to get one given to you in the rain."

Harvick ran in the top ten all afternoon, but Tony Stewart driving the No.
8 Chance2 Chevy with a DEI power plant under the hood was the dominant car
of the race. The ruling Winston Cup champion, making his first NBS start
since 1998, led 86 laps; but lost the lead after making his final pit stop
on lap 101 sacrificing the top seat to Harvick. When the rain came some
nine laps later, Stewart was in 11th place; where he finishes.

"I think everyone knows that we delivered the mother load of all ass
kickings. We're just getting on with it. It's been a lot of fun; Jr. is a
good buddy of mine. I'm just thankful he asked me to come drive the thing.
It's been fun running with some of the guys I haven't ran with in awhile."

Pole sitter Kasey Kahne was second and pleased with his performance, "We had
a good stock car all weekend. Our whole Great Clips team did a good job. We
qualified first and ran second in the race. Our first run of the day we were
real good at the start of the run and real good at the end of the run. Then
we freed the car up just a little bit and that hurt us for the second run.
But once the tires wore down a little bit, we got back to the high side and
it was awesome again up there."

Bobby Hamilton, Jr., David Green and Scott Riggs round out the top five.

Riggs retains his lead in championship standings by two points over second
place David Green. Jason Keller is third, Ron Hornaday fourth, and Brian
Vickers rounds out the top five.
