DD>I'm sorry to hear your precious lost. Pets tend to become more of a friend DD>and a sentimental need over the years. Aparently, this was a special riend DD>to you and I'm sure you will miss his not being around anymore. Hopefully, DD>there might just be a heaven for these creatures to go to. At least, I ake DD>myself think that there is jyst to feel better about lossing a pet. Thank you Daniel. I really appreciate your nice thoughts. It was a rough week. How are things with you? Breeding is slowing down here for a while. I guess we'll be having a few tiels, budgies, and conures from now throughout the winter/early spring, but overall will be much slower. Did your grays or Bluefronts ever do anything for you? My grays haven't done a thing. I was perfectly willing to do the trade thing but my big guys didn't co-operate for me this year. I had thought I'd trade you some B&G's or something but this year I only got two rather than six from the pair, and the pair that has Miligold babies had none rather than the four they had last year. And the Yellow Crown Amazon ate two of her babies as soon as they hatched so I grabbed the last egg and the Mex Red Head raised them along with her babies. So we were down a few big birds this year, which is what I thought you were more interested in. I had pre-sold one B&G last fall to a nice lady who had always wanted one, but who'd hubby wouldn't let her get one. So when she divorced she met me and saw what my babies were like and put a deposit on one. Then her son in law got in a fatal accident and she had to help with the burial and it was a rough time. She told me to go ahead and sell him and she'd get the next one. Then she sent me the balance of the money so she wouldn't spend it. So the next one didn't come til this year but she got the first one of the two and I raised him til he was about 9 or 10 weeks old I think, for her. He has a lovely home. The other I had to sell at the time as I needed the money badly that month. Let me know if you want to work something out this spring again, unless you are not wanting to winter with the birdies.
