I haven't encountered that much in the way of glue with those that I've
removed from a bunch of boards here.  A lot of them were leaking.

If there is a connector in there,  I don't recall.  And if I had such a
battery pack,  that is.  I know of one guy who got only about a year out of
one of those.  As it is,  I do have this nicad sitting here...

Yeah,  I know where to look.  I don't remember what's in there,  and would
have to open it up to see.

There's no such things as one that "can't" be removed.  At least
I've not had a problem in this regard yet!
