-> BM> And that's a pain, because that's exactly what you have to do, is sit -> BM> by the phone if there's nobody else to tell you it's ringing, or -> BM> lights flashing throughout the house. Also what you have to do if -> BM> you're expecting somebody to come to the door. You sit by the door -> BM> and wait. Well, they haven't come yet. Gotta make a quick run to the -> BM> bathroom. Guess when they come? -> Yep! You been there you done that!! -> I hate waiting. When my mom was getting older I got her a Cockapoo mixed breed dog for companionship, always eager to please. Smart little yappy thing too. When mom's hearing failed "Fred" the dog trained hiself to be a hearing ear dog for mom. Fred could signal to her if it was the microwave bell, phone or doorbell. Even more impressive when multiple people were around and one person put something in microwave Fred would on hearing the bell go to the individual using the oven and alert them their meal was ready. Just last night I told my dog Spanky I'd give him two turkey necks this morning rather than his usual two. After finishing off the usual turkey neck rather than proceed to his usual routine he kept after me until I made goood on my promise of another turkey neck. A good, well trained dog demonstrates a highly spooky degree of intelligence, well to me at least. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
