TEDIT or T/2 is quite a handy little editor, but has some annoying little
traits, which I thought I may be able to overcome with a cfg or ini file,
but I can't seem to find any reference to one. The things which annoy me
most are, that it always starts in command mode and overwrite mode, so I
always have to press ESC and INS, when I load it.

How can I get round this?
