I don't know about that review link, but electric cars still use oil to
lubricate the various moving parts (wheel bearings, etc.) as well as in
the production of much of the world's electricity. 

Anyone who believes electric cars are a panacea to the "oil crisis" or
the "green revolution" is simply a blinkered moron.
