Well, George, thanks for the reply. I finally figured it out though.
(After LOTS and LOTS of work)
This is what happened. The init string was wrong. In TM it gave me an
init string for USR high speed modems, it didn't work either. I put my
own init string in : ATZ^M That didn't work either. I left the default
init string in, Crud! That didn't work either. So, you can see why I was
soooooo frustrated. But then I d/l'ed Telix, and recieved a call from
that program and it worked. We connect at a high speed. So that told me
it was definitely TM. So, what I did was change the init string in TM to
the same default one in Telix and tried to receive a call. Bingo! It
worked. So, here is the init string I copied from Telix:
AT&F1S11=55^M
I still don't understand why the USR high speed modem init string that
TM suggested didn't work, but HEY! at least I got it to work now.
