Okay I need some help to get telemate (Windows ver. 1.00) to recognize
the ansi commands properly. I'm running Windows '95, locked port (com1)
at 57600 using a GVC FAX/MODEM 14.4 w/V.42bis & MNP5. However, ansi
isn't the only problem I've had, if I use this modems factory defaults
AT&F I can only connect at 9600bps, if I use the modems B2 command I can
connect at 14.4k, but it seems 3 times slower than the same connect
speed if I'm using Qmodem in a DOS SHELL from within Win '95. This
modem os supposed able to make a 57600bps connection, but I've yet to
see it happen. Any Ideas? Again, this is a GVC EXTERNAL 14.4 Fax/Modem
with V.42bis/MNP5 error correction. The init string I am currently
using is: ATB2S0=0S11=55Q0E1M1L3&C1&D1X4\N6\Q3\V1%C1
I also would like to display the ansi screens in ANSI, not some weird
looking gibberish that I get (misture of regular text and I guess
extended text character sets.) For exampe chr$(205), the double line,
horizontal graphic prints as an e with a tick mark above. This is just
an example, it may not necessarily print that character, but I want it
to print the GRAPHICS characters in Telemate, NOT the text style that
I'm getting.
Any ideas on any of the above. I have Telemate set as default (both of
them) as ANSI.KEY (Tried the 7 bit ansi, it didn't work either.)
Thanks to anyone that can help me solve this problem.
