FWIW, someone wrote an extremely simplistic malloc() and then proceeded to
rewrite PUNIX in C++.  Being the non-informed ignorant kiddie I am, I have no
idea HOW a monolithic (i.e. not microkernel) OS could possibly use OOP
principles to get anything done.
