Jorg Bergmeister puts the #24 Alex Job Racing/McKenna Porsche on the GT
Class Pole for the Toronto Grand Prix of Mosport by twelve-thousandths
of a second -- Porsche's take top three qualifying positions.

Bowmanville, ON., Canada -- August 16 -- For the 15th straight time,
dating back to the beginning of the 2002 American Le Mans Series
season, a Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be starting from the GT class pole.
Jorg Bergmeister ran the fastest GT lap in the first m inutes of the
20-minute qualifying session -- with a lap of 1:19.437. Lucas Luhr, his
teammate in the #23 Alex Job Racing Porsche GT3 RS came closest to it,
just twelve-thousands of a second slower. Marc Lieb in the # 43 Orbit
Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RS was third fastest, with a time of 1:20.053
seconds around this 2.459 mile circuit.

"It's amazing that I got that fast lap, first lap out. I'm really
pleased that we had a battle. It's always good fun to be so close and to
have such competition, and it makes it even better that it's our team
car," said Bergmeister.

Starting just behind the trio of Porsches are a pair of 360 Modena
Ferraris. The #32 Ferri Competizione Ferrari and the #35 Risi
Competizione, are in the fourth and fifth starting spot, respectively.

"This is a good day at Mosport," said team owner Alex Job.
"We finished
one-two with the 24 car taking the pole. The Ferrari's are getting much
closer and it's going to make for a good race tomorrow."

The # 60 PK Sport Porsche 911 GT3 RS of P.K. Sports driven by Robin
Liddell qualified sixth and the #79 J3 Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RS driven
by David Murry qualified in the seventh starting spot.

The J3 Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 RS was just reinstated to its
original podium finish from the Le Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres race two
weeks ago. The J-3 Motorsports Porsche was originally disqualified after
the post race inspection for not having bumpe r backing support brackets
attached to the car. However, the 911 GT3 RS is delivered from the
factory sans bracket supports, so it was determined the car was indeed
within the class rules.
