Jennerstown, Pa. (August 16, 2003) -- 1997 ASA Champion and current point's
leader   Kevin   Cywinski   turned   the   fastest   lap   in   qualifying 
 for   tonight's
Pennsylvania  250  at  Jennerstown  Speedway.  Cywinski  toured  the  .522-mile
oval  in  19.292  seconds  at  97.408  mph.  Driving  the  No.  1  SK  Hand
Tool/Great
Clips Chevrolet, it marks the seventh career pole for Cywinski and second of the
2003 campaign.

Three-time ASA titlist Butch Miller qualified in second position, tripping the clocks
at  19.316  seconds  at  97.287  mph.  Series  veteran  Mike  Garvey  timed
 in  third
fastest  followed by $50,000 Rookie Candidate Travis Kittleson and Ohio's Kyle
Jones.

The  lone  competitor  from  the  Keystone  State  that  will  compete  in  the  ASA
Racing Pennsylvania 250 is Travis Giesler of Cranberry Township in 24th.

The Pennsylvania 250 goes green at 7:30 p.m. (Local). Tickets are available at
