It is rumored that upon his election as pope, JPI told the cardinals
"God will forgive you for what you have done to me."  The way I look at
it, anybody who wants to be pope is nuts.  And anybody who accepts the

St. Malachy predicted 111 future popes for sure, 112 future popes if
Petrus Romanus was not a forgery.  To date, 110 of those future popes
have come and gone.
