| subject: | Asm in Os/2 (Direct Screen writes) |
Hello All,
I'm porting some code (text mode apps) from dos to Os/2 text
mode... Problem is I have several asm modules that do direct screen
writes...(text mode)... when I try something similar with an os/2 app, it
assembles,links
but when it runs, I get this.
SYS1808:
The process has stopped. The software diagnostic
code (exception code) is 0005.
Could somebody please explain how to do this? I am porting a
text-user-interface to os/2, and have to be able to draw my windows, menus,
buttons, listbox's....
Can somebody give me a short example in asm, c, or c++ of a direct screen
write? just the letter 'A' at b800:0000 would be lovely... please don't
mock me with a printf() ...
PLEASE ??
Thanks in advance...(I'll be waiting by my mailer
for a response .)
Paul Rider.
