No, the path info won't hurt at all. In fact, I've sent stuff to Chris R
the same way, and he received it just fine.

Might have been easier if Netcomm had fixed their brain-dead modems so
they'd work with Paul's Binkley instead though.

This is the binkley.cfg I used with Paul's hack to great effect...
BTW, ignore the commented lines, they're either specifically for my USR, or
other info for EMSI connects, which Paul's hack doesn't support.
