BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 16, 2003 . . . A late afternoon rain which
followed an early afternoon thunder and lightning storm forced event
organizer Bruce Rogers to throw in the towel and cancel the Saturday
night Rossi Welding/Arctic Cat Night of NASCAR Modifieds and Late Model
stock car racing. This was the second rainout in a row and ninth of the
2003 season at Grandview Speedway.

Event organizer Bruce Rogers has announced that the point chase, normally
finalized on the first Saturday of September, will now continue through
until September 20th. And the Saturday, August 23rd show will have twin
20-lap features for the NASCAR Modifieds in an effort to meet the NASCAR
requirement to run at least 18 features for the track's racers to be
included in the NASCAR Dodge Regional title chases.

Current NASCAR Modified point leader Jeff Strunk, a two time track
champion, is also leading in the chase for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing
Series New England Regional title chase.

"With all the rainouts we have had we are short a couple of events. We
want to give our racers every opportunity to win the New England Regional
NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series title worth $45,000 so we are adding some
dates to our point chase and we are changing next Saturday to a twin
20-lap feature program for the modifieds." said Rogers.

The point chase continues this Saturday, August 23rd, with the running of
Waste Management Night featuring the NASCAR Modifieds and Late Models. At
least 13 events of stock car racing will be presented with the twin
20-lap features for modifieds topping the program. The late models will
run in a 20 lapper. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

Rossi Welding Night will now be part of the September 20th program.
