Hi again, James! This is a continuation of my previous message to you:
JB> For some hours, I was pulling nails from scrapped pine
JB> planking to fix the neighbouring fence, and yesterday,
JB> I spent about an hour on the same.
Ah... if I'm not mistaken, these planks will take up less space
once you get the nails out. And then you're going to use them. Good....
:-)
JB> The excuse I made for yesterdays shortfall, was the
JB> mosquito swarm and bloodletting I devoted to the chore.
JB> I knew full well I had to keep some 'leg' under me for
JB> a raft of business I need to take care of, but I had to
JB> justify my truncated effort.
You needn't justify it to me... I'd encourage you to assess your
own energy level & budget your time accordingly! Unless there are
children and/or domestic animals who might be at risk if the fence isn't
completely intact, it probably doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things
when you finish the job. So... why use the mosquitoes as an excuse? I
suspect there are some energetic extroverts and/or non-intuitive folks
around you who think they understand why you would let something external
& tangible, such as mosquitoes, determine how you behave but who would
be outside their comfort zone if you alluded to other factors. No doubt
there's more than one reason for a lot of things you do, as there is for
me... and you may trim the explanation to suit the audience. :-)
JB>
Or marching to the beat of a different drummer... [grin].
JB> I may drag the last few boards to a table I have about
JB> thirty feet away. Chances are good, that those thoughts
JB> will figure more prominently in the future, than not.
I see you're doing some creative problem-solving. I like that. :-)
JB> Then I just thought of a table saw-base, that the meth-
JB> heads forgot to steal with the broken table saw.
And you have such a wonderful turn of phrase sometimes... [chuckle].
JB> Maybe I *have* entered old age!
It's often said that life begins at forty, i.e. an age at which
many people stop worrying about what others think & unashamedly get on
with what is right for them. If you can find ways to adapt your work area
(or whatever) so as to make your own life a bit easier I'm delighted to
hear that. OT's & PT's get paid for doing the same thing. And when I
look in the catalogues they use
I see people of various ages using the equipment... with the sole exception of
a brief chapter about "pediatric" items which would be too small
for you. ;-)
