I've had two batteries fail in less than two years. The counter person at
the auto parts store told me a battery has problems with lack of use. Like
storing it all winter. What is the best way to keep a battery from this
early death? I've taken them out of the cars and stored them in my
basement, on the floor (dry) with a piece of 1" lumber under them. Charge
once a month with a automatic (piece of junk) charger, which tells me most
batteries are charged within a few minutes of the hook-up.
I'd appreciate some advice on this to help prevent further loss.
Sincerely,
Don Byland
