TG>I came across some 9mm maximum loading data. I am working on a
TG>special load I am developing and I am definitly going to use a USP 9mm
TG>as a test gun.
OAL is the most important factor. Keep your loads literally at the OAL,
and I'm talking to the 1/1000th of an inch. This will ensure you the
most case volume for keeping the pressures down. Also- check out
different cases, find out which has the most volume:
Load a regular load in various cases. Fire about 25 round of each, and
the case with the least velocity will have the most volume, due to the
least amount of pressure being built up.
Wear Kevlar and put lots of disclaimers into you data! :-)
The USp has got to be one of the heaviest barreled 9mm's this side of a
submachine gun. It uses the same extrenal dimensions as the .40, which
is twice as heavy as my S&W .40 barrel. Good shooting!
