On both the West and East coast I guess thats where it the most popularist.  
and from there it worked its way inland.  My friend who lives in Ludington 
Michigan said a lot of people there have them and its almost like your dumb 
or a dork if you dont.  In Charlotte Michigan where I live BMX'es are 
everywhere and you cant go downtown without seeing them.  Thers numberous 
jumps and tracks located all over.  Althought the closest skate park is 20 
some miles away.  It's not that bad of a sport to get into.  Kids cant afford 
dirtbikes and you cant drive motorcycles in town w/o a permit.  Motocross is 
very simular.  therefore BMX'es are a cheap alterniative.
